Iworked on implementing BlueCherry for almost my entire four years while I was at Herschel. I played both project management and business analyst roles as I was fortunate enough to have worked with many areas of the company in other projects and could take on whatever process needed to be dealt with.
The project was massive and I was lucky enough to work with business teams all across the company to map out processes and work on their use cases. This is where I learned about concepts related to PLM, how all of the information from various sources is pulled together each season, pre-selling, demand planning, logistics, warehousing/distribution, retail launches and back-office finance.
This is only scratching the surface of what was an arduous undertaking but I was involved in the following areas just to name a few:
- Pre-project planning and hiring
- Development of initial requirements and process mapping
- Architecting many integration points with external tools (eg. Lightspeed POS, NuORDER B2B, Ecommerce)
- User Training
- Configuring modules within BlueCherry to suit our needs and support the flow of business
- Painstakingly documenting past and future processes
- Facilitating UAT
- Go-live preparations
